About MyPDF

What MyPDF is

MyPDF is a collection of free tools for everyday PDF jobs: merging, splitting, compressing, rotating, reordering, signing, adding page numbers and watermarks, converting to and from images, extracting text and editing document properties. There is nothing to install and no account to create.

Why we built it differently

Most online PDF websites ask you to upload your document to their servers. That is a problem when the file is a contract, an ID scan, a payslip or a medical record. MyPDF takes another approach: the work happens inside your browser, on your own device. When you choose a file, it is read by the page you are looking at, processed there, and handed back to you as a download. The file is never sent to us.

A practical side effect is speed. There is no upload and no waiting in line, so results appear in seconds, even on a slow connection once the page has loaded.

What we do not do

• We do not require sign-up or collect your name or email address to use the tools.
• We do not add watermarks to your files.
• We do not read, store or share your documents.
• We do not offer functions that need a server or a paid third party, such as converting to or from Word. We would rather leave out a tool than weaken our privacy promise.

How the site is paid for

MyPDF is currently free and supported by our hosting and development efforts.
