Terms of Service
Plain-language terms for using MyPDF.
1. Agreement
By using mypdf.tech ("MyPDF", "the site") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. The service
MyPDF provides free browser-based tools to work with PDF files and images. The tools run on your device. We may change, add or remove tools, or stop the service, at any time.
3. Your files and your responsibility
- You keep all rights to your files. We do not receive, store or claim any right to them.
- You confirm that you have the right to use and modify any file you process and that doing so does not break the law or anyone else's rights.
- Always keep a copy of your original. Tools produce a new file and do not change your original, but you should not rely on the result without checking it.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the site, including attempting to disrupt it, scraping it at a rate that harms the service, probing for security weaknesses without permission, or using it to process unlawful content or to infringe others' rights. You may not copy the site's design or content to create a competing service without permission.
5. Signatures and legal effect
The Sign PDF tool places an image of your signature on a page. It is a visual signature and not a certificate-based qualified electronic signature. Whether a visual signature is accepted for a particular document depends on the recipient and on applicable law. Check what is required before relying on it for contracts or official procedures.
6. Results and limits of the tools
Tools such as compress, crop, convert and text extraction can change or lose information. In particular: compression of images is not reversible; cropping hides page content but does not securely delete it; watermarks are visible marks and not security features; text extraction does not work on scanned documents. Do not rely on the tools to redact or protect confidential information.
7. No warranty
The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or uninterrupted availability. Processing happens on your device, so performance depends on your hardware and browser, and very large files may fail.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyPDF and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or business arising from the use of, or inability to use, the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Intellectual property
The site's design, text and code are owned by MyPDF or its licensors, except for open-source libraries which remain under their own licences (such as pdf-lib, PDF.js and JSZip). You may link to the site freely.
10. Third-party services
With your consent the site uses Google Analytics, and may use advertising services in the future. Their use is governed by their own terms and by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new version. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
12. Contact
